There's no doubt I've always loved to read but it's been a while since I've fallen head over heels over a particular author/genre. Sad, Angry, inconsolable, and unwilling to be consoled, his characters are I guess very predictable but I can't stop myself! I'm always most intrigued by stories are ideas that make me wonder 'how could any human being even think this up'... and I guess Murakami's mystical worlds make me think so that. ... ... And if nothing else, reading Murakami is like getting a pat on the back from the genius himself reassuring me that it's ok to be a freak.

Haruki Murakami

South of the Border West of the Sun

I know that when I read a story I get over involved with the characters leading me to think that I am somehow related but this story more than any other I've read recently really rung. On a difficult and lonely day it provided comfort and solace to think that anyone could possibly be thinking or feeling what I am, even if it is a fictional character. Today nothing could have been better.
